Wouldn't It Be Nice To Read Posts Without Clicking Through Each One?

TLDR: We need a TLDR section in post previews. Or the ability to see full posts on the preview pages. Or both.

We Don’t Have Time To Read Everything If you’re like me, you don’t read every single post that you upvote. You scroll through, see something you might want to read, upvotes it, scroll through some stuff you definitely don’t want to read, upvotes some more posts you might want to read, and eventually get to something you definitely do want to read, upvote it, click on the title, and read it.

And then you think, “Oh no. What if some of that stuff I upvoted was stuff I wouldn’t like or wouldn’t agree with if I’d read it? Or what if I missed something really interesting or important?”

And, if you’re like me, you do this because your attention is split between two goals - finding interesting content to actually read on one hand, and earning some Steem on the other.

And if you were financially independent and had all day to spend on Steemit reading everything, these two goals wouldn’t be in conflict. But you’re not. So they are.

The Solutions So, wouldn’t it be great if every post preview was a bit longer so you could get a better idea of what the post is about?

Or how about this - What if there was a dedicated TLDR area on the post creation screen? Then, the writer could just plug in their main points and have them displayed at the top of every post preview, under the title, so you could vote on posts you don’t feel you have time to read without feeling you’ve missed something?

Or, if you’re like me, you might not even mind if the developers put in an option in the settings that would allow you to see full posts in the preview page. Then you could just skim through and upvote to your heart’s content without missing a thing.

Oh, and it would also be nice if there was a way to save stuff to read later. But I guess bookmarks do the trick for that.

Did I miss anything?
