Steemit Snowballing, Taking Top Google Results From Competitors

Giant_snowball_Oxford.jpg Oh the irony. I was just putzing around the internet and decided to check what came up if I Googled “cryptocurrency social network,” and “Bitcoin social network.”

For the first search, there were quite a few results about Steemit and on Steemit, as should be expected. Steemit is after all the number one social networking site that has cryptocurrency rewards built in. So ironic. But also what I expected. I mean, Steemit doesn’t pay out in Bitcoin, so of course the top result should be an article about a social network that does (or plans to, someday). Unfortunately, the bravenewcoin version didn’t even make it to the first page of Google results.

Looks like Steemit is dominating search results for certain topics. It will be exciting to see what happens when Steemit is out of beta and ready for a big influx of new users. I predict more and bigger layers added to the snowball.

In the meantime I’ll keep digging and see if there’s anything else interesting.
